Renegade City Shoots: San Francisco Hits the Streets October 4

Photographers Challenged to Capture Architecture, AsiaSF Gender Illusionists, Street Fashion and Editorial

Napa, CA, October 4, 2008 – Renegade, the maverick photo education experience creator, will host Renegade City Shoots: San Francisco 2008 on Saturday, October 4. This full day photo education and adventure program features an eclectic mix of assignments, venues and photographers. Over the course of a day professional photographers will trek on foot to sites around the city. At each stop a lead photographer will outline the assignment and provide tips and tricks for best capture.

Renegade Photo Shoots produces photography education and adventure sessions in major cities around the U.S. Objectives of the program include inspiration and education, plus promotion of the best imagery that reflects the flavor of the host city.

Lead photographer Kingmond Young will direct the AsiaSF gender illusionist assignment. “The Renegade City Shoots events provide a venue for photographers to not only learn from four outstanding educators, but from one another. The assignments are varied, engaging and even slightly quirky. Each assignment strives to tap the essence of what’s happening in a host city.”

Rosemarie Lion, Rosemarie Lion Photography, will lead the street fashion assignment. “As a photographer, one of the most valuable things I can do to further my career is to spend time shooting side-by-side, learning and interacting with other pros. This format brings together an inspiring mix of talented shooters from various backgrounds and puts forth challenges; it asks photographers to shoot in environments, shoot subjects and situations they would probably not normally experience.”

• Kingmond Young, Kingmond Young Photography, directs an ‘only in San Fran’ gender illusionists shoot
• Rosemarie Lion, Lion Photography, stages a quirky street fashion shoot with Berkeley designer Cari Borja
• Eric Neilsen, Eric Neilsen Photography, wraps the day with al‘moody cocktails on the bar’ editorial shoot at Azul
